  Richard Cole

  MD

  Richard Cole, MD, leads the team at Patrick County Family Practice, with both the main office and urgent care office in Stuart, Virginia. He’s a family physician who’s certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Cole has been interested in medicine since he was 5 years old when he visited a clinic in his hometown for the first time. He was later inspired to pursue a career in the medical field as a young man playing sports and taking care of horses on his family horse farm in Claudville, just outside of Stuart. When he began learning more about family medicine, he knew the specialty was for him. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia and earning his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, both in Charlottesville, Dr. Cole completed his residency in family practice through East Carolina University at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, North Carolina. There, he was named chief resident. Dr. Cole has been married to his wife Astrid, a registered nurse specializing in aesthetics at Patrick County Family Practice, since 1984. Together, they have six children.

  Astrid Cole

  With over 40 years of experience in patient care, Astrid Cole, RN, leads the aesthetic team at Patrick County Family Practice in Stuart, Virginia. Combining her passion for wellness and beauty, Astrid is committed to helping her patients access the best treatments and procedures for their aesthetic needs. Astrid has gained notable expertise during her four decades in the medical field. She has hands-on experience in a number of areas, including the operating room, emergency room, and hospice. Her diverse medical background has given her a unique, patient-oriented approach to aesthetic care. As the leading provider of the aesthetic team at Patrick County Family Practice, Astrid takes the time to understand the needs of each patient and educate them on the best options for not only meeting but exceeding their expectations. In addition to her work at Patrick County Family Practice, Astrid has also served on the diabetes prevention board for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Outside the office, Astrid spends much of her time with her husband, Dr. Richard Cole, with whom she has six children and eight grandchildren.

  Ralph Kramer

  MD

  A member of the Patrick County Family Practice team for over 20 years, Ralph L. Kramer, MD, is a board-certified physician providing primary care to patients in Stuart, Virginia, and the surrounding areas. Committed to the Patrick County community, Dr. Kramer has dealt with a variety of medical concerns and has a broad scope of medical knowledge. Dr. Kramer received his Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and then attended Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, where he completed his medical education. He then continued his education with an internship and residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Kramer also completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a fellowship in reproductive genetics at Wayne State University in Detroit. Outside the office, Dr. Kramer spends his time with family enjoying the best of Patrick County.

  Brittney Dillon

  DNP, FNP-BC

  Brittney Dillon, DNP, FNP-BC, is part of the experienced medical team at Patrick County Family Practice in Stuart, Virginia. As a board-certified family nurse practitioner, Brittney helps patients of all ages manage and improve their health. From urgent care to routine checkups, Brittney treats each patient with the compassion and hospitality they deserve. A lifelong Virginia resident, Brittney attended Bassett High School in nearby Henry County. After graduation, Brittney enrolled at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing. After completing her undergraduate degree, Brittney earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Radford University in Radford, Virginia. Brittney has received training in a number of essential areas, including basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support, and pediatric advanced life support. In addition to her work at Patrick County Family Practice, Brittney is also a current member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as well as the Virginia Rural Health Association. Brittney is committed to going beyond industry standards for her patients and is currently accepting new patients.

  Meet Dana Mabe

  FNP

  Dana Mabe, F.N.P., specializes in patient-oriented care at Patrick County Family Practice in Stuart, Virginia. As a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the medical field, Dana is committed to the comfort and wellness of each of her patients. Dana began her career at Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she studied and became a registered nurse. After working as an RN for 10 years, Dana continued her education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing. Dana completed her medical education at Winston-Salem State University with a Master of Science in nursing. Boasting a broad range of medical experience, Dana has worked in outpatient surgery, emergency room care, and office-based care. Prior to joining Patrick County Family Practice, Dana also worked in the emergency room at nearby Pioneer Community Hospital. When Dana isn’t providing exceptional patient care, she enjoys traveling and restoring furniture in her free time. Dana also spends much of her time with her family, including her husband Brian and their eight children.

  Kaitlyn Cobbler

  FNP

  Kaitlyn G. Cobler, BSN, RN, CNOR, FNP-C, provides compassionate patient care to the community of Stuart, Virginia. As a certified nurse practitioner who’s an integral part of the team at Patrick County Family Practice, Kaitlyn helps ensure the comfort and efficiency of each patient visit, whether it be for general medicine or urgent care. Kaitlyn attended the University of Virginia’s College at Wise in Wise, Virginia, where she was awarded the Wright Family Nursing Scholarship three years running and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in nursing. After completing her undergraduate education, Kaitlyn enrolled at Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska, where she earned a Master of Science in nursing. In addition to her medical education, Kaitlyn is certified by the American Heart Association in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric advanced life support. Kaitlyn is a registered family nurse practitioner (FNP) and a certified nurse of the operating room (CNOR). Outside the office, Kaitlyn continues her commitment to community service. She has been a member of the Moorefield Store Volunteer Fire Department since 2010 and also stays active in the local 4-H and Future Farmers of America clubs.

  Pam Wright

  A Patrick County native, Pam Wright, F.N.P., has been an essential part of the team at Patrick County Family Practice in Stuart, Virginia, since 2017. With over 20 years of clinical experience, Pam has mastered the art of comprehensive, patient-oriented care. After graduating from Patrick County High School, Pam attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where she received her Bachelor of Science in nursing. She would later return to the University of Virginia to earn a Master of Science in nursing administration. Pam has also received certification as a family nurse practitioner from Radford University in Radford, Virginia. Pam has experience in a number of practice areas, including over 10 years in newborn intensive care at Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia. Outside the office, she continues to volunteer at the Caring Hearts Free Clinic in Stuart, where she once served as the executive director. Pam spends much of her free time with her husband, Adam, and their three sons.

  Continuing a lifelong commitment to the Patrick County community, Kimberly Compton, PA-C, is an integral part of the team at Patrick County Family Practice in Stuart, Virginia. A licensed physician’s assistant with almost 20 years of medical experience, Kimberly provides compassionate, patient-oriented care. After graduating from local Patrick County High School, Kimberly enrolled at Radford University in Radford, Virginia, where she attended the College of Health Sciences and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in health sciences as a physician assistant. Kimberly has been with Patrick County Family Practice for almost 20 years and continues to go above and beyond for her community. With her considerable experience, Kimberly has helped patients overcome a wide range of medical conditions and concerns. When she’s not in the office, Kimberly can be seen staying active, enjoying the outdoors, and taking classes at the local YMCA. Kimberly also spends much of her time with her husband, Michael, and their daughter Karli.

  Jaime Whitlow

  Jaime F. Whitlow, PA-C, is proud to be part of the team at Patrick County Family Practice in Stuart, Virginia. Jaime is a licensed physician’s assistant with a wide range of medical experience, and with a background in nutrition, she’s become an essential part of patient care at Patrick County Family Practice. Jaime attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, where she received a bachelor’s degree in human nutrition, foods, and exercise. After receiving her Bachelor of Science, Jaime went on to Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia, where she earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. Jaime has been licensed since 2009 in both Virginia and North Carolina and is also certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. In addition to her background in human nutrition and exercise, Jaime is trained in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support. Committed to providing top care to the Patrick County community, Jaime is currently accepting new patients.
